Hudak bows to unions

Tory leader abandons right-to-work law he once called key to economic recovery.

Ontario PC leader Tim Hudak didn’t just do a flip-flop in renouncing his previous support of “right to work” legislation in a speech to the Toronto Region Board of Trade Friday, he did a reverse two-and-a-half somersaults.

On the plus side, it gets him out of carrying an unpopular policy into an expected spring election, one that wasn’t resonating with the public and had enraged union leaders, who had vowed to defeat him.
