The job killer and his zombie ideas

You know the world is truly upside down when a politician thinks it’s popular and safe to campaign on eliminating more than 100,000 jobs.

But that’s exactly what Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak is doing in the first days of that province’s general election. Zombie ideas have taken over.

Some economists note that the firing of 100,000 workers in the public sector would result in the loss of another 65,000 jobs in the private sector, taking into account the multiplying impact of those lost wages on the economy.
