The Ontario Progressive Conservatives are supposed to be a credible alternative to the governing Liberals on economics, which makes the disintegration of their election platform all the more disappointing.

It was a Million Jobs Plan, until the plan itself revealed more than half of those jobs are expected to come from baseline growth that would be present anyway. Now, even the 476,800 jobs plan (if you strip out the freebies) looks like a shambles after a number of journalists and economists — beginning with the Citizen’s David Reevely – analyzed the Tories’ math and found it didn’t add up.
